Prof. Marie-Françoise ALAMICHEL, Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée

Marie-Françoise Alamichel was educated at the Sorbonne where she received her Ph.D. Her thesis was a thematic study of La3amon's Brut (1. Space 2. Time 3. War & warriors 4. Human kings & The Divine King 5. Women 6. Everyday life). It also included a translation of 65% of the Brut into French. She lectured at the Sorbonne (1990-1999). Since 1999 she has been Professor of English Language and Literature at the University of Marne-la-Vallée.

Her main research interests are in Old and Middle English literature with an emphasis on La3amon's Brut which she has been studying from a literary point of view since 1986. Only her articles published in non copyright journals are gathered here. Documents (family tree of the British kings and queens mentioned in the Brut, maps, photographs) and her French translation of the chronicle are also provided.
